Ashley Cross Nursery Life – March 2026

What we’ve been up to this month…

This month we have been exploring the theme of “growing things” where we have been planting new seeds in our polly-tunnel and “Peter Rabbit” herb garden ahead of spring!

We have been looking into the importance of caring for our environment and deep diving into life cycles of animals and what is involved in each step!

We have celebrated world book day- we all dressed up to further explore our favourite stories and bring them into play!

It was so lovely to see so many little ones dressed up- we had a great day!

We have been getting ready for easter decorating easter eggs, creating different crafts and we even had a visit from the easter bunny!

What’s happening next month…

We are going to be exploring the theme “our planet and nature explorers” where we will be exploring games linked to recycling, doing junk modelling and looking into different habitats.

This month we will be celebrating world earth day on Wednesday 22nd April painting our own planets, watering the plants, reading stories and getting hands on in the polly-tunnel.

We will learning about the importance of celebrating all those around us and how every little one learns differently- we will be bringing in World Autism Awareness Day.

We will continue to explore in our arts and crafts space creating our very own masterpieces for world art day.

Activities we will do at nursery:

  • Junk modelling
  • Ocean themed gloop
  • Nature sensory bottles
  • Nature themed walk around the garden listening to the different sounds
  • Building bug hotels
  • Recycling game in the pre-school room
