What we’ve been up to this month…
This month we have been looking at “Minibeasts & Bugs” where the children have learnt about life cycles, recycling and the importance of caring for our planet.
What’s happening next month…
Throughout July, we will be looking at “summer and water fun” where we will be exploring weather changes, summer safety and keeping cool in the heat!
We will be celebrating world sports week from the 6th July taking part in sports days, working on our team work and winning different prizes!
On the 29th July we will celebrate world tiger day exploring their habitats, diet and what they look like..
Activities we will do at nursery:
- Ice play
- Design your own sun hat
- Ice lolly making
- Footprint jelly fish
- Water play in the garden
July’s Preschool focus:
This month we will be looking at our fine motor skills strengthening them ahead of going to school.
This will be done through practical life activities, demonstrating independence by getting ourselves dressed and exploring scissor and pencil control.
Some ideas to do at home:
- Hand print crabs
- Exploring the importance of staying hydrated and safe in the sun
- A day at the beach!
- Looking at ocean animals
- Litter picking at the beach helping to protect our ocean animals
- Making homemade smoothies/ ice-lollies
