What we’ve been up to this month…
This month we have been exploring the theme of “Friendships and feelings”. We have engaged in circle times talking about the different relationships we have in our lives from our friends to our loved ones. We have been strengthening our fine motor skills creating friendship bracelets with pipe cleaners and beads.
We have been getting messy using our hands in the paint to create our very own Three Gables friendship tree which is proudly displayed in our art room!
We have been super busy learning about and celebrating the different celebrations happening this month around the world, Chinese new year, Ramadan, Eid and pancake day.
Our little ones have taken part in food tasting eating different Chinese dishes and had a pancake on pancake day! We have learnt about what these different celebrations are and how they are celebrated through stories, roleplay and themed tuff trays.

What’s happening next month…
We are going to be exploring the theme “growing things” where we will be getting ready for spring. We will begin planting seeds in our polly-tunnel and our “Peter rabbit” herb garden. We will be learning about the life cycles of plants and animals, exploring herbs in the mud kitchen and playdough station.
We will be celebrating world book day- we invite you to let you little ones dress up as their favorite story time characters and celebrate all the lovely stories we explore everyday! We will be sending over lots of photos of your little ones getting into the spirit!

Activities we will do at nursery:
- Planting seeds
- Leaf printing
- Natural loose parts
- Bug themed playdough
- Exploring life cycle circle times
- Soil with cooked spaghetti “worms”
March Preschool focus:
This month we will be linking in world book day and exploring story telling looking at our favourites and more traditional stories. We will have a go at creating our own stories recognising the start, the middle and the end. We will also be using story cards to support the structure and choice within the story line- we can’t wait for your little ones to tell you all about the story we write!
