Ashley Cross Nursery Life – April 2026

What we’ve been up to this month…

This month we have been looking into the importance of caring for our environment and how we can all help. From looking at recycling and what it means to the animals we have and their habitats.

We thoroughly enjoyed celebrating easter with everyone and having a visit from the Easter Bunny!

What’s happening next month…

We are going to be exploring the theme “Nature, plants and life cycles” where we will be exploring planting, life cycles of animals and plants, the colours of the world around us, watering and caring for our plants.

This month we will be celebrating sun awareness week (11th – 17th May), International day of Families (15th) and World Bee Day (20th)

We will be talking about the safety of using sun cream, wearing sun hats and keeping hydrated during sun awareness week.

We will continue to explore in our arts and crafts space creating our very own masterpieces with different colours that we see around us.

Activities we will do at nursery:

  • We will be looking at the life cycle of a butterfly as we have caterpillars in the nursery
  • Watering our plants in the polytunnel and pots, we have planted variety of flowers, fruit, vegetable and herbs that we need to care for.
  • Looking at books about different families and how they all look different for all of us
