What are the nursery opening times ?
8am to 17.45
What do I need to bring with my child to nursery when they start with you ?
All you need to bring is a little backpack with a few changes of clothes and appropriate footwear to go out in the garden in all weathers !
What does nursery provide?
We provide all snacks , meals nappies and wet wipes. The only thing we ask you to provide is your babies snacks & meals until they turn one. This is because everyone weans onto food in their own way so we like to follow what is working for you so your little one has the same home from home experience.
How will I settle my child into nursery ?
Firstly we offer optional home visits which have proven to be invaluable for the settling in process. We then recommend within the same week as the home visit for you & your little one to have your first visit to nursery allowing just a couple of hours.
After this first settle we will then discuss together which process we feel is best to follow to help your child settle well into nursery. Please allow minimum of 3 visits these are all free of charge.
Does Nursery except government grant and voucher schemes from work placement ?
Yes we do , there will be additional costs to these which we are happy to discuss and go through with you at the time of registration.
How often will my child access outside play areas ?
We keep all the areas of learning open as much as possible including the outside learning. So we do ask please provide appropriate clothing for your child so they can have fun in the garden come rain or shine.
How will I know my child is being cared for ?
Your child will have a designated key person who will support and nurture them through their time with us. Our aim is to always be above government statutory teacher to child ratios allowing for excellent all round supervision and care. You will receive a log in to your child’s interactive learning diary where you can look at photos of what they have been doing at nursery and what we are focusing on. You can also comment or load information up as well to share with your child’s key person.
How will I be involved in my child’s time at nursery ?
We offer an open door policy and you are more than welcome to book an appointment with the manager or your child’s key person at anytime.
We hold parents evenings where we invite you in to go through all of your child’s development discussing their successes and where together we would like to take them next in their learning.
Once a month you will receive a parent partnership letter , nursery life & pre-school focus flyer showing you what we are focusing on at nursery and how you can help to continue their learning at home.
Our nursery library is always a huge success enabling your child to choose a book they would like to take home and read with you.
What will my child eat at nursery ?
For snacks and Tea your child will have lots of fruit vegetables , home baked bread , crackers or wraps with fresh fruit flavoured water or milk.
At lunchtime we offer all children a hot cooked meal with a yoghurt to finish.
The lunchtime menu will be sent out monthly to you.
